I'm a 1980 Graduate of Marshall University. I also
grew up in Bridgeport, but have lived in Orlando, FL for over 20 years. I found
your site while googling for info on the 1970 Plane crash. Good set of pages
and Photos. I poked around and viewed a few other sections. I'm also an old
car buff with a 65 Buick LeSabre Convertible.

Interesting website, I came to check out the story on the
Marshall football team plane crash. Great job putting together all the
information. I do have a correction on another page that needs to be
pointed out. On your movie mistakes page, the first listing is as follows:
Wild Wild West: There is a map of the United States in the Back Ground. When
President Grant was in office, West Virginia did not exist however it does exist
on that map. West Virginia certainly did join the Union before U.S. Grant was
elected President. It was during the Civil War, in 1863 and Abraham Lincoln was
President. Like you, I hate historical mistakes. Thanks. D.

This is a fantastic website - very well put together. You dedicated a lot of
time to this and it shows. I was born and raised in Huntington. I found your
website when I was "revisiting" the university plane crash and trying to decide
whether I'm going to drive to Huntington on April 11 to watch the shoot. I knew
someone whose father was on the plane (Michael Prestera) - she was waiting for
him at the airport. What a tragedy this was. Thank you for sharing so much of
yourself on your site. L. Raser

I found your site by researching information on the
Marshall Football Team Tragedy in 1970.

HI, well I found your site after I read an article on Matthew McConaughey making
the movie on Marshall. I did a google search of Marshall plane crash 1970 and of
course many sites popped up. I don't know why I chose yours, but I did, just
seemed to have good info. I honestly don't recall the plane crash although I am
old enough to remember it. I guess it didn't get stored in my memory bank. I
am currently living in Naples Italy and the internet is my lifeline to the US,
so I scour the internet most mornings for all sorts of tidbits. I really
enjoyed your site and admire your ambition in creating it. Good Luck in the
future in all you do, may God continue to bless you and the Angels continue
their watch over you. Gale Smith.

I am from West Virginia, in Wetzel county. My friends grand-daughter
Holly goes to Marshall Univ. I was in the 10th grade when this hoffific
accident occurred. I had to think about the plane crash being it was so
long 35 years ago. I thank you for letting me sign this guestbook.
God Bless Huntington, WV and Marshall University!

I followed a link off one of your posts on the
Forums.tdiclub.com website. I noted that you have Huntington, WV as your
location on Fred's site. I used to live in Ashland, KY and moved to Lexington,
KY about 9 months ago. I'm in the Tri-State area every now and then with my
2001 VW Golf TDI. PM me (from Fred's -- ThePapaJohn) if you would like to swap
TDI, scuba diving, and get an ear full of my Navy Stories (I'm a Vet).
Interesting diversity on your website..
John

Rocco, one of my co-workers was about to destroy his web
page and said he had run out of things to write about. I told him about you and
yours--we decided to visit. It's quite different than I remember. I hope you are
well. I've been back at my old job in Birmingham, Alabama, for more than a year
now. Take care and stay out of trouble.

Hi Rocco! I really enjoyed your webpage. I unfortunately
didn't have time to look at all of it, but your 'Accidents at College' are
hilarious. I'm sure they weren't at the time, but it's good that you can look
back on it now and write about it. I'll be sure to take the time to check out
everything else on here...I'm sure I'll learn a lot, and I'm always up for
gaining knowledge. I'll see you soon :-D

Hi, I was searching for Old McDonald's fish camp
and found your thing on What is Love? Being a romance writer (not yet
published) it piqued my curiosity and I had to read it. I love your creative
dating suggestions by the way. I've been married 30 years and having been a wall
flower all my life, find it quite interesting. Good ways to keep the pep in a
relationship. I'm a 47 year old female, a dreamer and I believe in love and I
know, in the end, love can win if you give it a chance. Love also hurts, but its
a chance you've got to take.

Was doing some research regards to Huntington WV
and Marshall University. My daughter and her husband moving there in August, he
will be attending medical school. I then recalled the plane crash from 1970, as
I was a senior in high school. Two of my football colleagues from the high
school attended Marshall in 1970, Al Saylor and, I am not sure but I think John
Calvin. Saylor was on the plane, Calvin did not make the trip. I came across
your site doing a Google search on the 1970 plane crash. A lot of information,
but unable to read the news articles. Keep up the good work. question: I
browsed thru the rest of your site, are you or have you been a police officer?
Just curious. I'm retired from police work in the Cincinnati area.

Looking up info on Glock pistols and ended up
here. In San Antonio, Tx going to PA school and Active Duty in the Navy!

hi

I was looking up Jetta TDI and landed on your web
site. I soon realized you were a Marshall U. student and looked further. I too
graduated from Marshall in 1967 about ten years after I entered. I had been a
W. Va. State Trooper for nearly seven years and returned to school hoping to put
in a couple of years at Marshall and finish a Police Administration program at
Michigan State. There were only 3 or 4 schools in the entire country back in
those days with programs in criminal justice or police administration. Since I
graduated, criminal justice programs have proliferated throughout the U.S.
For what it's worth, I stayed at Marshall because they offered me a position
managing dormitories. This enabled me to pay for my education. Marshall did
very well by me. I graduated with a degree in Political Science, entered the
Foreign Service and saw the world. I am now 70-years old and writing to you
from Iraq. How about that?

Dear whoever you are. I got here because I was
researching my uncles death. His name was Roger Vanover. I think your site is
well put together and I appreciate your piece on the 1970's Plane crash. I was
born 4 months before he passed on and wish I got to know more about him. Take
care and thank you again.

Hi, i found this site because of your DeLorean
paper. I was doing a paper on comparing the original GTO to the GTO remake and
when I was researching John DeLorean I found your site. You have one of the
most comprehensive biographies of John DeLorean on the Internet. It was
especially helpful that you included your sources so that I too could find those
sources and learn more about him. Thanks for putting up your paper and I like
the site.

I came to your site during a search for info on the
2001 Jetta TDI I'm looking at purchasing. I currently own a 1992 Jetta with the
old 1.6L and have racked up over 450,000 km's that I know about as the odometer
stops once in a while.

Hi. My name is Teresa, and I got here looking for
the site "Things My Girlfriend and I Have Fought About". Unfortunately, it
looks like being published made him pull the site from the web, but I clicked on
the link (in google) where you quote it. I'll let you know what I think of the
rest of the site when I have had a chance to poke around. However, your
spelling definitely needs attention. It is quite distracting. Of course, that
could just be because I am irritatingly pedantic, but it could also be because
you fail to proofread. Look into it in May or so :-).
