Not all that interesting but you can't play around with a turbo charged car without some gauges. So far I have a VDO boost gauge good up to 25psi and a Summit brand a/f gauge. At some point I want to stick a EGT(Exhaust Gas Temp) gauge in the panel below the current gauges. The red you see in that panel is my Maint Required light that comes on based on mileage. It doesn't mean there is anything wrong. Its just comes on to let me know I should take the van in and have its emission equipment checked. Think I'll just wait for it to burn out instead.
With the gauges mounted like that it looks like they would be in the way but they aren't. They just block my view of the back of my inspection sticker. I do get some strange looks from other drivers when they see those gauges in a minivan.
The van already has water temp, alt voltage, and oil pressure gauges and a tach. I am sure they aren't the most accurate gauges in the world but I am in no hurry to upgrade to better ones.
