About Me
My name is Maggie Chenoweth, and I graduated from Cabell Midland High School in 2006. I am currently a Freshman at Marshall University, and I am planning on double majoring in Applied Mathematics and Mathematics Education 5-Adult. In addition to these math majors, I am also pursuing a minor in Computer Science.
About My Unit
My unit is on probability and statistics for sixth grade students. It takes ten days to complete, and it features many hands-on activities. Through the course of the unit, the students will not only gain knowledge about probability and statistics, but they will also see how this concept can be applied to many problems they come across in everyday life. Some of the activities include working with dice, pennies, and a week-long project with M&Ms.
