Welcome to My CI 350 Portfolio!

Hello! My name is Allison Butler, and I am a junior Secondary English Education major at Marshall University. I'm originally from a small farming town in Gilmer County, WV. After graduation, I plan to return to the classroom to work on a Master's degree in Journalism  and Social Studies Education. Someday, I hope to return to a more rural area to teach in either a middle or high school. Teaching is my passion, and I can't wait to get into the classroom and get started! My unit is centered on Shakespeare's Macbeth, which is a staple of high school English curriculum. In it, we will be covering the play itself, its characters and motifs, imagery, and as the culminating activity, the students will be viewing a theatrical production of the play. This unit has been created for high school juniors, who typically fall between the ages of sixteen and seventeen.
