This is apparently William Weeks' earliest known drawing of the Nauvoo Temple's facade. Initially Weeks designed a imposing square tower and a triangular pediment with a spectacular arched window. When he abandoned the pediment, he used a similar window in the temple's rear as a light source for the large central rear attic room.
