'Wrap-around' will be available through June 30
The Deseret News and the Journal Star newspaper of Peoria, Ill. have teamed-up to produce a special combined commemorative issue on the Nauvoo Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
This full-size, two-page "wrap-around," printed on thick paper, summarizes the histories of the original and modern temples. It also features a "Nauvoo Temple by the numbers" list of facts.
Staff writers from both newspapers wrote the articles.
This wrap-around is available daily from various business outlets in the Nauvoo area. It is folded around separate, daily issues of both the Deseret News and the Journal Star, providing readers with a chance to read both the Deseret News for Utah news and the Journal Star for Illinois news — all for just $1.50 a day.
The Nauvoo Temple wrap-around and combined newspapers will be available through Sunday, June 30. The wrap-around is the same each day — the newspapers change daily.
Some area hotels are also offering complementary copies of the souvenir newspaper. The wrap-around is not sold in Utah and is not available in an online form — it is geared for visitors to Nauvoo.
