Home Planning Group Exhibit Halls

41 Home Planning Hall

Manufacturers sponsored display halls adjacent or within the Home Planning Group such as Kohler, Crane, Johns-Manville, and the Owens-Illinois Glass Company. The Gas Industry Hall provided exhibits devoted to modern conveniences that utilized gas in the home. Model kitchens, heating equipment, and even a daily cooking class touting the benefits of a gas range in the modern kitchen by a home economics instructor rounded out the Home Planning Group exhibit for the forward-thinking family looking for cost-saving ideas, affordable housing, and contemporary furnishings and appliances. The W. and J. Sloane House provided an opportunity to showcase attractive furnishings inside and elaborate gardens outside sponsored by the Garden Clubs of America.
